Curtis grew up hiking and backpacking the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico and the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. He first moved to the Springs to attend the Air Force Academy where he further developed his love for the outdoors. After graduating and serving out his active duty service obligation as an R&D Acquisitions Officer, he returned to the Springs in 2014. He now works as a Planning Engineer for Commnet Wireless in Castle Rock, helping to provide wireless cell phone coverage and home internet service to some of the most rural parts of the Western United States.
When he’s not working, Curtis is likely to be found with his dog, Cooper, hiking in the Cañon, Stratton Open Space, or Bear Creek Dog Park. His favorite trail is Mt Cutler because it was his first hike in the Park, and first introduction to the beauty of Cheyenne Cañon.
